Morphy Richards Meno One Cup 43922 Hot Water Dispenser Review

Hot water dispensers, such as the Morphy Richards Meno One Cup, have gained in popularity recently. Not only do they make it easy for you to save energy by boiling only the water that you need, but they’re great for people who have problems lifting a weighty kettle. Let’s take a look at the One Cup and see what’s on offer.

The Meno has 1.8 litre capacity, which should be enough for 6 cups. However, the device comes into its own when boiling just the right amount of water. It can boil enough water for one cup of tea or coffee in around 30 to 40 seconds; no more waiting around for the kettle to boil.

The amount of water that it dispenses in one go can easily be adjusted using the control on the top, and there’s also a stop button which you can use to stop the flow if your cup is full.

The removable drip tray should help to avoid any mess or splashing.

We found that most kettles were cheapest at Amazon.co.uk, including the Morphy Richards Meno One Cup which is currently available for 26% off.

Customer Feedback and Reviews

The Meno One Cup has been keeping its customers very happy. We found that 97% of people who bought the device would recommend it. In fact, 90% awarded the machine top marks of 4 or 5 stars.

The Meno does its job well. People reported that they could have a cup of water boiled in between 30 and 40 seconds. Quite a bit faster than even the quickest of kettles.

It boils very quietly too. Loudness is a common complaint with a lot of kettles, so if you’re looking for something as quiet as possible then the Meno could well be for you.

There were hardly any negative points raised by customers. One thing, which admittedly is quite an oversight, is that there is no filter. Having said that, most people seemed to be filling the machine from a filter jug anyway so this didn’t prove to be a problem.

The other thing that people mentioned, was that the nozzle makes a strange noise when it’s finished. This is nothing to worry about, it’s just the sound of air coming through the nozzle, but a few people did think that something was wrong the first time they used it. Rest assured, this noise is totally normal and nothing to worry about.

Overall, the Meno One Cup is a great alternative to a kettle, particularly for people who regularly make just one cup or who have trouble holding a kettle. It boils quickly and quietly, and you can’t ask for much more than that from a kettle!
