Philips HR1858/91 Review

The Philips HR1858/91 is a whole fruit juicer with a 650 watt motor. It has 2 speeds for juicing both soft and hard fruits, and can deal with whole fruits and vegetables without the need for chopping.

All of the removable parts are dishwasher safe, so it should be pretty easy to clean (we’ll check that out later).

The machine comes with a 2 litre pulp bin with plenty of space to hold all of the waste from your juicing efforts, and the included 1.25 litre jug holds plenty of juice.

Also included is a recipe booklet which will get you started, but once you start juicing you’ll almost certainly begin to concoct your own marvelous juices!

We found that most juicers were cheapest at Amazon.co.uk, including the Philips HR1858 which is currently available for 13% off.

Customer Feedback and Reviews

As with most Philips juicers, customers seemed to be very happy with this machine. 93% of customers gave the juicer a positive review, with 86% awarding a very enthusiastic 4 or 5 stars.

Most people seemed to be very happy with the efficiency of this juicer, saying that it extracted juice very well. The 2 speed motor meant that both soft and hard fruits were dealt with well.

An added bonus, was that almost all of the reviews said that the machine was nice and easy clean. This is especially good news since the HR1854 was reported as frustratingly difficult to wash. Most people said that the various bits and pieces rinsed clean under tap.

The Philips HR1858 seems to be a very capable juicer. However, since its release, the Andrew James Professional Whole Fruit Juicer has become available. The Andrew James is more powerful and, even better, is almost 50% cheaper! For that reason, we’d recommend you avoid this model and go with the Andrew James juicer instead.
