Check out our latest video below, where you’ll discover how to make ice cream without an ice cream maker. It’s simple and quick (it should only take you 10 to 15 minutes)!
The reason this recipe works by hand, without an ice cream maker, is that it uses double cream. This means that the mixture doesn’t require stirring whilst it is being frozen, like normal ice cream would. The result is a lovely thick and creamy ice cream, with a traditional custardy taste.
If you want to make the fluffy lighter style of ice cream that you might find it the shop, you’ll need to use milk and an ice cream maker. You might want to check out the Kenwood IM200 ice cream maker, which is big enough to make ice cream for a family of four, and is available for well under £30!
But without further ado, bring on the video and let’s whip up a batch of ice cream!
