Duronic CH260SS Compact Stainless Steel Multi Chopper Review

We liked the Duronic CH260 chopper that we took a look at recently, it’s a handy little time saver. Today we’re going to take a brief look at the Duronic CH260SS, which is a very similar model so should be just as good.

Pretty much everything about the CH260 model is exactly the same for this one. The difference comes in the form of the finish, with stainless steel replacing the white plastic housing of that model. You’ll pay a little more the higher quality finish too.

We’ll recap the features quickly here for completeness’ sake.

The chopper has a powerful 260w motor built; plenty to take care of any chopping tasks you want to throw at it. It has a 500ml bowl, and comes with both chopping blades and an attachment for making milkshakes and smoothies.

To operate the device, you simply throw your ingredients into the bowl and screw on the lid. This engages the motor. If you need a further boost of power, simply press the turbo button on the top.

We found that most mini choppers were cheapest at Amazon.co.uk, including the Duronic CH260SS which is currently available for 53% off.

Duronic CH260SS Compact Stainless Steel Multi Chopper Features and Specifications

  • 260 watt motor – powerful enough for all your chopping tasks
  • Chopping blade and milkshake attachments – chop veg and make milkshakes or smoothies
  • 500ml bowl with rubber base – prevents slipping on the work surface
  • Turbo button – an extra boost in power for hard ingredients

Customer Feedback and Reviews

We liked the other Duronic chopper model, and so did the customers. For that reason we were expecting the CH260SS to go down well too; it did. 96% of customers were happy with their purchase, and 94% gave it top marks of 4 or 5 stars.

Basically, the only difference between this chopper and the cheaper model is the higher quality finish. Customers found that the chopper performed just as well as Duronic’s other model. The device chops very quickly, so it requires only a few seconds to give your veg a fine chop. If you need to pulverise or pulp your ingredients instead, simply hold on a bit longer. This chopper chops really well.

One of the advantages of the Duronic CH260 was it’s bargain price. This model is still very cheap, but you do need to pay a bit extra for the higher quality stainless steel finish. That is the downside of this model, it’s less of bargain.

So is the Duronic CH260SS worth it? It’s a great little chopper, and will definitely save you time in the kitchen so it’s getting top marks from us. However, we’d still recommend going for the Duronic CH260 instead. The reason is the price, it is a great bargain. However, if you do prefer the more stylish stainless steel finish, the CH260SS is just as good.
