We were suitably impressed with the De’Longhi F28311 that we took at look at recently, but it wasn’t without its downsides. Today we’re looking at another De’Longhi model, the F26237. Let’s take a look and see if it gets things right.
DeLonghi say that this machine has the capacity to cope with 1kg of food at a time. It uses up to 2.3 litres of oil.
It has an adjustable temperature control so that you can get the perfect crispness. There’s also a timer to remind you when your chips are ready.
The cool touch body means that the outside of the machine doesn’t get too hot whilst you’re cooking. No burnt fingers!
The Total Clean System means that everything comes to pieces, and it can go right into the dishwasher for cleaning. The lid has a removable and replaceable filter to stop any nasty smells too.
We found that most deep fat fryers were cheapest at Amazon.co.uk, including the De’Longhi F26237 which is currently available new for [getpercent] off.

Customer Feedback and Reviews
93% of customers were very happy with their purchase, and the vast majority of those people gave the machine a high score; 4 or 5 stars.
One of the most popular things about this fryer was the Total Clean System. People loved the fact that it disassembles and allows you to keep the bits and pieces nice and clean. Most bits go into the dishwasher, but also clean easily underneath the tap.
Quite a few customers remarked about how well the fryer is made. It’s sturdy and feels dependable.
The built-in timer is handy. It’s something that isn’t included in quite a few fryers for some reason, so people were happy to see one included here. It beeps when to let you know when cooking time is over, but unfortunately it doesn’t turn of the heat automatically.
The oil heats up nice and quickly, and customers loved the chips that they’d made. People said that the timings in the instruction book are just right for golden, crispy chips. Whilst chips were what most people used it for, it does cook other foods just as well. It’s just big enough for frying fish too, if you’d like to make your own fish and chips.
Whilst some smells escape, the air filter seems to do a pretty good job too.
So what didn’t people like?
There weren’t any major complaints. The most commonly mentioned one was that the handle does feel a bit flimsy, especially in contrast to how sturdy the rest of the machine is. People generally noticed this when it came to shaking the basket. Thankfully, though, nobody reported any breakages so it seems like it holds up to the task.
Another flaw, admittedly very minor, is that the power cable is a little short. It’ll need to be positioned near a wall socket when you want to use it.
The Delonghi F26237 is a great fryer by all accounts. It cooks well, cleans easily, doesn’t make too many smells and, for the most part, is very well made. It’s a shame that it’s not as economical with the oil as the Roto Fry model, but it still makes a great plate of chips!
