The internationally renowned cookbook author, Julie Dannenbaum, recent passed away at the age of 89. Since then, her two daughters have spent a stagger 65 hours so far sorting through all of the kitchen gadgets and tools that Julie had collected in her career! “She has something for everything” said one of the daughters.
Amongst the interesting gadgets on display are a ham holder, ravioli cutters and a tool that juliennes (pictured above).
The gadgets are being sorted through to be sold at auction, with the proceeds going to fund a scholarship in her name (Julie operated cooking school in Philadelphia, Venice and West Virginia).

The auction will take place on April 15 at the Dannenbaum house in Rittenhouse Square. Tickets will be available starting March 15 through EventBrite and Les Dames d’Escoffier Philadelphia.
