Ok, I know I’m not a sophisticated foodie at the best of times, but I must say that fish and chips (when done right) are just about one of my favourite things in the world!
I’ve just been reading this post about the best fish and chip shop in Chester (seriously, check out that link – they look like they’re to die for) and it’s making me feel hungry, even though it’s currently five past midnight!
It reminded me, though, that I haven’t made fish and home a long time. I think I’m going to grab a nice salmon fillet tomorrow and rectify that situation.
Personally, I love to pan fry my salmon. I usually melt a knob of butter in the frying pan, give the fillet about 4 minutes on each side, then melt some more butter with a little white white and lemon juice for a simple sauce. Delicious.
